At this celebration of spring drinking, you’ll be greeted at the door with a wineglass and five tokens for tastings. Browse drops from over 15 Victorian winemakers, producers, and growers – showcasing not just wine, but also beers, spirits, vermouths, and low and non-alcoholic beverages too.
On the line-up: Avani Wines, Stomping Ground, , The Gospel, Edge Brewing, Geelong’s Anther Distillery, Gippsland’s Allevare, Tina (This Is Not Alcohol) and more, with chances to meet the makers behind them.
Along with the wine party, a dinner party will be held upstairs in the Bowery Room with a four-course menu prepared by chef Trisha Greentree of Sydney’s Fratelli Paradiso (and formerly 10 William Street). Expect anchovy and potato donuts, lamb and rosemary arrosticini, bitter green calzones, handmade pastas, creamy ricotta Siciliana gelato and crispy crostoli.
Downstairs, you can still taste Greentree’s creations, with a more casual menu of bar snacks to accompany the wines.
After the tastings, the Builders Arms will throw open its doors for a more casual wine party where anyone can come in and browse what’s on offer, with the party continuing into the night. DJ Sarah and Georgia Bird will be playing house tunes throughout the afternoon.
The wine tasting runs from 12pm to 3pm, while the after-event runs from 3pm to late. Tickets to the tastings cost $25 per person, and it’s $150 per person for Greentree’s lunch upstairs.
