The Block’s Foreman Keith Schleiger was forced to shut down two teams’ worksites after a disgruntled neighbour made a noise complaint late at night.
Dylan and Jenny’s tradies downed tools for an hour as punishment for using power tools at 10.30pm the night before in a bid to get ahead.
‘Last night, guys, we received a phone call from a neighbour at 10.30pm. They weren’t happy,’ Keith told the pair.

‘Reports are we were using impact drivers, drop saws, power tools… That’s absurd.’
Jenny stood her ground, admitting to working late into the night but disputing claims her team was using drop saws.
‘Drop saws? We weren’t using drop saws. There’s no way… There’d be no reason for us to use a drop saw,’ she protested.
‘I’m not even going to listen to you,’ Keith told her.

Jenny later told producers her team had stopped ‘making noise’ at 10pm, which she said was ‘actually really early’ in ‘Block world’.
Meanwhile, Omar and Oz’s site was shut down for the second time after Keith found out their tradies had been starting from 5am when the official start time is 7am.
Keith was also unimpressed to discover Omar and Oz’s builder Danny was using a collated screw gun during a no-power-tool period.

‘Sometimes on The Block you’ve just got to try your luck. If it works, it works; if it doesn’t, you just get shut down for it,’ Omar told producers.
Oz then confronted Keith and said he was still confused by the rules, and asked what counts as a power tool and what doesn’t.
‘A cordless drill doesn’t make noise,’ Keith said to the boys.
‘But it’s powered. That’s what I’m trying to say,’ Oz replied.

‘This isn’t a joke, mate,’ Keith snapped as he walked away, before threatening the lads with another hour of tools down.
Omar and Oz’s second shutdown comes after they were accused of ‘dodgy dealing’ and faced scrutiny over how little they had spent so far on tradespeople, which led to suspicions they were not paying them at all.
As revealed on the show last week, they only spent $7,500 plasterers, which was far less than the other teams.
Former contestant Ronnie Caceres returned to The Block site and suspected Omar and Oz were saving money by getting their friends and family to help out for free.

If they are in fact using free labour, this gives them an unfair advantage over the other teams, who must use money from their budget to pay their builders, chippies, electricians and plasterers.
‘Something is not adding up,’ Ronnie said.
When he visited Omar and Oz’s place, he suddenly dropped the friendly act and begins making serious accusations of rule-breaking.
‘I counted 17 trades at House 5. Something’s not adding up,’ he says, before shouting at the mates: ‘Are these all your cousins?’
