“From the sky it looks impressive.”
“Windy and comes to a rapid dead-end.”
Even seasoned property hunters will not have seen a selling angle like this.

A Domain ad for a block of land in the Victorian seaside suburb of Rye may be Australia’s most mystifying – and delightfully honest – property listing.
The vendor, who is selling 13 Tarawill Street themselves online, has included only one photo: a mobile phone picture of a computer screen showing the verdant block on Google maps.
The listing has been live since July 2019 and the price has yo-yoed.
The current private sale price of $660,000 represents a recent discount from $715,000, Domain’s Pricefinder data shows.

When it first came onto the market, the listing called for $705,000, peaking at $765,000 in April last year, with a period at the start of 2021 where it dropped to $615,000.
The seller ends the listing pitch with an emphatic “please”.
“It is located on a very pretty and hilly part of the Rye front- Beach [sic]. It is non-densely treed with tea-tree and some other tree types,” the listing says.
“It is surrounded with multi-storey modern buildings at the side and the back. The property is approximately 160 ft long and 55 ft wide. The street is modern narrow and windy and comes to a rapid dead-end.
“From the SKY it looks impressive and centrally located. It is a quiet area to live with very few active neighbours. We will accept best and closest offer now – HURRY! – Please.”
Rye is one of Australia’s boom suburbs, clocking a median house price increase of 27.6 per cent over the past year, to $1,212,500.
Over five years, the median house price in Rye has rocketed 98.1 per cent, according to Domain data.
